Clean Lubrication Without Intentionally Added PFAS

Typical applications include polymer-to-polymer, polymer-to-metal and metal-to-metal contact surfaces such as hinges, springs, electrical connectors, contacts, actuators and O-rings. The dry lubricant is equally well suited for use in the automotive industry, electrical engineering and general mechanical engineering.
High Process Reliability and Efficient Material Usage
With a drying time of only 10 to 15 minutes, MOLYKOTE® L-5030 enables rapid processing and supports efficient manufacturing operations. Its low density of 0.75 g/cm³ also allows lower material consumption while maintaining the same coating volume.
Once the solvent has evaporated, a uniform lubricating film remains, offering a favourable EHS profile while providing consistently low coefficients of friction.
Outstanding Sliding Performance for Engineering Plastics
The technical performance data demonstrates the lubricant’s excellent capabilities. Depending on the material combination, coefficients of friction as low as 0.05 to 0.075 can be achieved. At the same time, MOLYKOTE® L-5030 exhibits excellent compatibility with engineering plastics such as POM, ABS, polycarbonate and Zytel®, without affecting their properties or causing material degradation.
