Krytox™ GPL 106 is a high temperature oil with outstanding chemical, thermal and mechanical properties. It consists of perfluoropolyether (PFPE), a liquid and very inert fluoropolymer. Krytox™ GPL 106 is extremely resistant to temperature and pressure. It is non-flammable and incombustible, compatible with oxygen and resistant to aggressive chemicals. The chemically inert Krytox™ GPL 106 does not migrate even at high temperatures, is silicone- and chlorine-free and does not release volatile organic compounds (VOC) into the atmosphere. Compared to conventional lubricants, Krytox™ GPL 106 has a significantly longer service life, higher stability and greater reliability.
The fluorinated oils and greases of the Krytox™ series are preferably used where complete non-flammability, oxygen compatibility and resistance to aggressive chemicals are desired.
Krytox™ GPL 106 is insoluble in conventional solvents. Special solvents are required for diluting, cleaning and removing Krytox™ products.
