Krytox GPL 217

Krytox™ GPL 217 is a high-performance grease with outstanding chemical, thermal and mechanical properties. It passes perfluoropolyether (PFPE), a liquid and very inert fluoropolymer, MoS2 as a high-pressure additive and polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) as a functional thickener. In addition to the thickening effect, the PTFE used provides higher stability and greater safety through additional emergency running properties. Krytox™ GPL 217 is very temperature and extremely pressure resistant, non-flammable and incombustible. The extremely temperature and pressure resistant Krytox™ GPL 217 is oxygen compatible, chemically inert and resistant to aggressive chemicals. Compared to conventional lubricants, Krytox™ GPL 217 offers a significantly longer service life, higher stability and greater reliability. Krytox™ GPL 217 does not migrate even at high temperatures, is silicone- and chlorine-free and does not release volatile organic compounds (VOC) into the atmosphere.
The fluorinated oils and greases of the Krytox™ series are preferably used where complete non-flammability, oxygen compatibility and resistance to aggressive chemicals are desired.
Krytox™ GPL 217 is insoluble in conventional solvents. Special solvents are required for diluting, cleaning and removing Krytox™ products.
